Team Believe is a collection of students from the University of Georgia, united with the American Cancer Society, which strives to raise resources for cancer research. Team Believe will cycle from Oregon to Virginia in an effort to raise $100,000 to continue the remarkable progress in cancer research. Our journey, the Believe in the Cure Tour, represents the fight against cancer. At first, the trek is seemingly impossible; nevertheless, through teamwork, dedication and perseverance we will succeed - just as cancer will be overcome.
Currently, however, the devastation of cancer is undeniable. It is the second leading cause of death in the United States, resulting in the loss of over 500,000 lives every year. Stemming from these high prevalence rates are the psychological and financial burden of millions; the weight of this affliction is undoubtedly felt by the nation as a whole. We cannot deny that each of us has been personally touched by this disease.
We would like you to be a part of this extraordinary event by joining us as a sponsor.
